What a privilege it is that our creator longs to hear our voice and wants a personal relationship with us. As we work with your preschooler, we will tell Bible stories about people who talked to God, and we'll help your preschooler understand that he can talk to God also. Preschoolers will learn that God always listens and hears us when we talk to Him. The emphasis for November is on prayer and talking to God. Your child will hear his teachers use brief prayer statements to talk to God and thank Him. This months Bible stories recall Jesus teaching about prayer and persons who talked to God. Your preschooler can learn that prayer is talking to God. Help him learn about prayer by example. Thanksgiving is a wonderful time for your child to hear family members thank God. Say simple prayers throughout each day to help your child sense the importance of talking to God.
